Beacons of Excellence

Virginia's Collaborative Model for Pre-Employment Transition Services works with educators. vocational rehabilitation counselors, Pre-ETS providers, and families across all 6 DARS Districts. Throughout the Commonwealth, there are examples of Pre-ETS best practices in action. These Beacons of Excellence highlight partnerships between schools, counselors, and providers. These collaborations have enhanced Pre-ETS in a variety of ways, including increased services, better coordination of services for students, family engagement, work-based learning opportunities, and career exploration.
